Today we did a fun art activity outside using watercolors, glue and salt. It created beautiful 3-D glittery designs. All three of you enjoyed this project. As I watched you create today, I couldn't help but notice your eye lashes, your chipped nail polish on your tiny fingers, and the joy that always surrounds you. I pray I never stop seeing these details that make you who you are.
I was asked this week to give some words that would describe this season of life.
Grateful and fulfilled are two that came to mind.
Daddy and I have been married for almost 15 years. We have spent our summers moving every few years for most of our marriage. This week we returned from vacation. It always feels so good to come home. I couldn't help but think that this was the summer we could have moved away. There’s such a peace I feel right now knowing this is home. This place, this season of life, is so special. It is so unique to any other time. I am grateful.
I am at a place in life where I truly feel fulfilled. Not looking or wanting. Life is not always easy, but I have found that even on the hardest of days there is Light to see and feel. I thank God for this because it isn't the circumstances of life that are filling me, it is Him.
It doesn't matter how many weeks or months you have been apart. When you see your loved one again for the first time; all of the feelings of sadness fade, and a feeling so indescribable takes over.
I am thankful that God has shown me time and time again, I am Stronger in Him. The days were not always easy but I see God's hands in all of them. We are all so happy to have Daddy home with us again.
A play date including happy meals for dinner, painting, and ice cream for dessert made for two happy girls.
Today our sweet Mimi turns 65. What a wonderful milestone and reason to celebrate the life of someone so special to all of us. Mom, you have been such a rock for our family for so many years. You are always there for each of us and have showed us so much about love and servant hood. Thank you for giving so much of your life to your family. We all love you so much.
After hours and hours of rain, the sky cleared and the sun came out. We headed down to the lake as soon as we saw the sun shining. I love how peaceful I always feel by the lake. You must feel it in ways too. You sit and dig and explore and seem to always find a world of your own by the lake.
